Miley Cyrus auctioning off her clothes for charity

11 Aug,2010 - HollywoodNews.com: With all of the drama and backlash Miley Cyrus has faced due to her recent wardrobe choices, maybe she felt like now was the time to get rid of some of her controversial outfits.

The young singer and actress will be auctioning off some of her clothing and accessories on eBay with the proceeds going to the charity Get Ur Good On, reports Hollyscoop. This charity aims at helping to connect young people with local volunteer opportunities.
Miley is choosing to donate the proceeds to this charity because she wants to show that charity is “about looking at your neighbors and seeing how you can help.” The auction is expected to occur toward the end of August.

Miley to auction off her wardrobe

Miley Cyrus is cleaning out her closet - for a good cause.

Fans can own a piece of the Hannah Montana star after she announced plans to auction off her clothing and accessories on eBay, with proceeds going to the Get Ur Good On charity, reported MTV.com.

"For me I get this amazing blessing and opportunity to do this every day and get up on stage and hopefully inspire people with my music and that's something that's really important to me, but so is getting involved in charities," the singer-actress said in a video message posted on the Get Ur Good On site.The auction - which is scheduled to kick off later this month - is part of Miley's involvement with Youth Service America, the organisation that runs Get Ur Good On and aims to help children and young people in the US.

"There's amazing charities right here in America. You don't have to travel 30 hours, you don't have to give a billion dollars," she said.

"It's not about how much or how far, it's about looking at your neighbours and seeing how you can help. This isn't just stuff that's all over the world, it's right here, it's right next to you. It's important to get involved."

None of these songs on this list are any surprises, and we all know that Miley has a successful music career. Which is sort of sad, since she desires to leave the music business for acting in films.

Do you think the list is missing any of her other songs? Are you sad that she wants to quit the music? I find it a waste, since her first feature movie wasn’t all that successful. But then again, she is one the top earners under age 30. Maybe she should stick with comedy shows or movies.

SANDUSKY, Ohio - Actress Miley Cyrus got some thrills recently at Cedar Point in Sandusky.

Cyrus went to the amusement park on Friday and enjoyed some fun with friends and co-workers on several rides and roller coasters.

A favorite was the Millennium Force, a 310-foot-tall, 93-mph roller coaster.

Spokesperson Robin Innes said Cyrus had a great time. She was at Cedar Point for about six to seven hours.

Cyrus was taking a break from work. She is currently filming her latest movie, “LOL: Laughing Out Loud.”

The end of Miley Cyrus Or Hannah Montana?

11 August 2010 - Miley Cyrus became famous after starring in the popular teen series Hannah Montana which was aired on Disney channel. At a point she was so bored with featuring in the movie that she couldn’t wait to quit the show and have a new life. She’s however going to miss starring in the show, now that its about to end after airing for 4 years.

According to Showbiz Spy, the young actress said featuring in the show has given her a new life from day one. She said she had become so familiar with featuring in the show and opened a lot of opportunities for her. She said she can also be herself wherever she goes and doesn’t have to pretend to be someone else as a result of her role in the show. She said she had to wear a lot of makeup the first time she went on location for the film’s shooting but now she wears anything on set.


The 17 year old said going on location was in many ways similar to going for classes at school. She said people she came into contact with on the show were all nice to her and she could approach any of them at anytime but not anymore as the show is finally ending. She said the show will always be part of her life and her memories will always be in her mind.
