Miley Cyrus' New Worry: Am I Too Raunchy?

Miley Cyrus hasn’t left much to the imagination on her Gypsy Heart Tour. But now she’s fretting that she’s gone over the top with racy costumes that might freak out her on-again boyfriend Liam Hemsworth’s parents. They’re going to her show in Australia.

Cyrus will play in Melbourne, Hemsworth’s hometown today (June 23), and his parents, Craig and Leonie, are planning to go to the concert. Will they think she’s a slut?

So far, however, she hasn’t toned down her act. In her Brisbane show, she was a raucous as ever while momager Tish Cyrus and Hemsworth watched from the stage wings.
“I’m really nervous about it. I’m going to be right on front of them in my Can’t Be Tamed outfit. Oh my God,” Cyrus said during a radio interview on Sydney radio station 2DayFM.

“I hate it when people I know are right there in front of me in the audience,” she added.
Although Cyrus and Hemsworth split last October after dating a year, they were spotted back together eating lunch in Sydney, Australia, during a break in Miley’s tour.

The tour kicked off again last night (June 22) in Brisbane, the first of seven shows.

Miley Cyrus refreshingly loud and live at Rod Laver Arena

She has been here before – back-on boyfriend Liam Hemsworth is straight outta Phillip Island - but not to work.

But at her instantly sold-out Rod Laver Arena show, Cyrus worked it - big time.

She’s been performing live for most of her teenage years and it shows.

Where Bieber’s show was generic and often lip-syched, Cyrus was refreshingly loud and live. And surprisingly rocking - Cyrus is in her rock chick phase. That means dueling guitarists and a leather bra and hotpants combo showing off a tattooed torso.

In case you missed the Miley rocks memo she covers not one but three Joan Jett songs including I Love Rock and Roll and Jett's Runaways' punk classics Cherry Bomb and Bad Reputation.

Cyrus even covered Nirvana's grunge anthem Smells Like Teen Spirit to "pay tribute to the artists who has inspired me."

It's a controversial choice but she certainly delivers it with passion considering it was released before she was born. Surely it's better she's inspired by Nirvana than Nickelback.

Yes the Miley of Hannah Montana has grown up - a very accelerated 18 years - but the noisy musical education for her very young, very female and very loud audience continued.

Cyrus covered Fleetwood Mac’s Landslide and Poison’s Every Rose Has it’s Thorn, one of the few moments you're reminded of her country roots.

Naturally Cyrus’ own tunes pleased the kids – amped versions of Party in the USA, Can’t Be Tamed, See You Again, The Climb and 7 Things.

So Miley's all grown up - and unlike many Disney starlets it suits her.

Miley Cyrus circus hits town with a boom and her mum Trish

SHE might have just travelled halfway around the world for her first Australian tour but yesterday nothing kept Miley Cyrus from a day of girly fun with mum Tish in Sydney.

The Hannah Montana star and singer, who opens the Australian leg of her Gypsy Heart tour in Brisbane tomorrow night, slipped into town early yesterday and wasted no time grabbing a table at paparazzi-magnet Otto where mum and daughter ordered seafood and salads.

Evading photographers, they bypassed the boardwalk and made a sneaky exit through the Blue Hotel before jumping in a waiting van which whizzed them to Darlinghurst for serious retail therapy.

Cyrus, whose estimated net worth is said to be nudging $1 billion, blazed through a chunk of it at design store Matt Blatt before picking up a few items at sass & bide, Kate Sylvester and Shakuhachi.

"She paid for everything with a black American Express card," one eagle-eyed spy said.

"At one point she opened her wallet and realised she didn't have it but a minder ran back to the van and found it in there."

After a three-hour shopping session, the Cyrus duo returned to her Four Seasons room. There was no sign of Cyrus's Aussie beau Liam Hemsworth, said to be joining her during her tour.

Meanwhile Trish, who is chaperoning 18-year-old Miley on her world tour, recently halted divorce proceedings with husband and country singer Billy Ray Cyrus.

Dream come true for Miley Cyrus's first-ever Australian tour

MILEY Cyrus is on a "mission" for her fans. The world's biggest tween sensation will today touchdown in Brisbane for her first-ever Australian tour, Gypsy Heart.

For the next fortnight, every move the Hannah Montana star makes will be tracked by her legion of followers as she crisscrosses the country performing her show, which includes two concerts in Sydney at Acer Arena.

She's also rumoured to be meeting up with her ex-boyfriend Liam Hemsworth while Down Under.

Hemsworth's older brother, Thor star Chris, indicated the on-off pair would be reuniting - a bonus for the paparazzi.

"He was going to (tour with her in Australia) but I'm not sure," Chris said earlier this month.

The Gypsy Heart tour has already been to South America and the Philipines and, according Cyrus, the shows are "a mission to spread love".

"The Gypsy Heart tour is a dream come true. Not only because of all the beautiful cities I will get to visit, but all of the beautiful people I will get to meet," Cyrus has said.

Cyrus, born Destiny Hope Cyrus, has sold millions of albums and enjoyed success in television, film and music. Australia is a massive market for the 18-year-old, who has released 10 albums and had hits with tracks including The Climb and Party In The USA.

The daughter of country crooner Billy Ray Cyrus, the singer had a few smaller acting roles before becoming a virtual overnight success in 2006 thanks to the Disney Channel's Hannah Montana series.

She is now one of the pop world's biggest stars, earning a reported $54 million over the past 12 months.

But success has come at a cost for Cyrus. The Disney star has grown up in the public eye, a prime target for paparazzi with her every move followed. And she's slipped up plenty of times, courting controversy.

In December last year, video was released of Cyrus allegedly smoking a bong filled with salvia - a powerful hallucinogenic herb - legally available for sale in California. Her dad took to Twitter to express his disappointment. He wrote: "I'm so sad. There is much beyond my control right now."

Rumours also circulated she was a lesbian after Cyrus posted photographs on Myspace of her almost kissing a girlfriend. Of that incident, she said: "For me, I was like, that's two girls - it's not a big deal. But they got spread around."

Miley Cyrus will perform at the Sydney Acer Arena on June 26 and 27.

Billy Ray Cyrus Wants To Make A ‘Hannah Montana’

We know Miley Cyrus was desperate to move on from her hit Disney show ‘Hannah Montana,’ and we thought Billy Ray was ready to move on as well — yet now he says he wants a prequel to the hit show!

When Miley Cyrus‘s provocative album Can’t Be Tamed dropped last year, we thought it was a definite nail in the coffin for her Disney alter-ego, Hannah Montana. However, her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, is now trying to drum up interest in a Hannah Montana prequel! Do YOU think that’s a good idea?

“You know, there’s wonderful buzz right now for a prequel to Hannah Montana,” Billy Ray told E! News. “I know Miley couldn’t step back and be that little girl, but I could get my mullet back real quick.”

The show premiered in 2006 and aired its final episode in January of 2011, allowing viewers to watch Miley grow from little girl to rebellious teenager…which is why talks of a prequel seem confusing: Miley’s simply too old for the role.

Billy Ray has it figured out already, however: he thinks Miley’s little sister, Noah Cyrus, would be the perfect candidate for the role!

This gushy interview about wanting to do another Hannah Montana project is confusing coming from the man who publicly declared in February he was “scared” for daughter Miley and that the show was responsible for both ruining his family and destroying his marriage.

That said, the back-and-forth of emotions is nothing new for Billy Ray. He filed for divorce from wife Tish Cyrus in October of 2010, only to withdraw the filing in March of 2011, one month after his explosive interview blaming the Disney channel show.

It is clear that Miley is focusing on her life beyond Hannah Montana, performing racy concerts and filming more mature movies, like last year’s The Last Song with boyfriend Liam Hemsworth. However, little sis Noah may be very interested in this prequel and the opportunities it could afford her.

After all, the Hannah fan base is enormous…but is Billy Ray willing to risk the efffects of fame on his other daughter?

Sister Noah To Make 'Hannah Montana' Prequel?

After blaming Miley Cyrus's "problems" and the near disintegration of his family unit on her Disney series Hannah Montana, Billy Ray Cyrus now wants to make a prequel Hannah Montana movie. What?

Yes, it looks like Billy Ray Cyrus has had a change of achy-breaky heart. Last year, he trashed Hannah Montana as the worst thing that had ever happened to the Cyrus clan. Now he wants to do the Disney series all over again. And it doesn't bother Billy Ray one bit that his So Undercover star daughter is a little...well, old to play the Disney darling.

"I know Miley couldn't step back and be that little girl," quips Billy Ray, "but I could get my mullet back real quick."

Indeed. But if Miley Cyrus can't "step back" into the Hannah Montana persona, who will?

Well, Billy Ray has an answer for that, too. Miley's younger sister, Noah, will be perfect for the role of the young Hannah Montana. Wow. It must be fate. Or something.

Has Billy Ray Cyrus been hitting Miley's discarded Salvia bong? Or is this just another example of what seems to be a pattern in his life--dramatic reversals. Like his much publicized divorce from his wife Tish, for example. In October, 2010, he filed for divorce. He withdrew the petition 6 months later. He and Tish are still together.

If Miley Cyrus has been apprised of her father's new brainstorm, she's keeping her opinion of it to herself. Mercifully, she's still performing in Australia on the last leg of her Gypsy Heart Tour, and she won't have to deal with it for a while. As for Noah, is she ready and able to step into Miley Cyrus's ultra famous shoes? She's probably never even considered it. But if Billy Ray Cyrus has his way again, she may soon find out.

Miley Cyrus director Tom Vaughan supports campaign

Hollywood film director Tom Vaughan has pledged his support for the creation of an arts & entertainment centre in his former hometown of Helensburgh on Scotland’s west coast.

Vaughan, who has recently completed directing Miley Cyrus in forthcoming action comedy “So Undercover”, grew up in Helensburgh and says the plan to create the centre is a ‘wonderful idea’ for the town that inspired him to become a film director.

Vaughan said: “Helensburgh is where I saw my first movies and made my first attempts at film making. I went from watching Harrison Ford in the original ‘Star Wars’ at the old La Scala cinema to directing him in my own film many years later. It’s a long journey but one that started in Helensburgh and I’m sure that this centre, which I wholeheartedly support, will provide similar inspiration for the young people of the town.”

“Speaking both as a film director and a filmgoer there is no better way to see a movie than with an audience and on the big screen. Seeing films in Helensburgh inspired me to pursue a career as a director and it was a terrible shame when La Scala closed down in 1984.”

The Helensburgh Heroes charity has recently received planning permission to convert a former Victorian Warehouse in the town into a three storey Arts and Entertainment Centre, complete with two digital auditoriums, a 50s style diner and arts space.

The charity also hopes to establish a ‘Helensburgh Heroes Hall of Fame’, with memorabilia and displays to celebrate the lives of the local men and women who have made significant contributions to society in their chosen fields. Over 100 inductees have been identified to date, including ‘Father of Television’ John Logie Baird, movie stars Deborah Kerr and Jack Buchanan, authors WH Auden and AJ Cronin and members of the Glasgow Boys and Girls Arts movement.

The charity hopes that by telling the stories of these ‘Heroes’, young people from the town and visitors to the centre will be inspired to emulate their achievements.

It is a sentiment that is echoed by Tom Vaughan. He added: “I remember seeing a model of John Logie Baird’s early TV set in the local library and it made me think that you can come from a small town like Helensburgh and go out into the world and do whatever you want.”

Phil Worms, Director of the Helensburgh Heroes charity, said: “We are delighted that Tom has taken the time out from his hectic production schedule to offer us his support. He absolutely epitomises what this arts and entertainment centre will be about. He is living his dream and we hope that the Heroes Centre will allow many other young people in the town to pursue theirs.”

Worms added: “The West Coast of Scotland boasts an incredibly rich and diverse heritage, and one of which we should be rightly proud, and we hope that companies and individuals will step forward and help us celebrate the achievements of these inspirational men and woman, by supporting the Centre’s fund raising efforts.”

Miley Cyrus is busy with her world tour, but she is also making time for interviews. She recently stopped by Australia’s HOT30 Countdown for a quick interview and she appeared lively! You can find it at the bottom of this post.

Miley does seem to be getting more comfy with interviews again. For a while she seemed out of place. But she seems much more like her old self now. I guess she just had to get used to being back out in the spotlight and being watched all the time. She had a few months of life without that and she has now chosen to go back to it. It would be as shame if she backed out of it again, after the media has gotten past some of her antics.

I hope that she can stay on the right path this time. I would hate to see her have to seek help or leave the industry, even if I don’t like her singing or acting. I do think she has a place in the industry, which she should focus on keeping at this point. I do think she needs to stay focused and have a goal in mind in order to stay on the correct path for a healthy career.

BCBG Max Azria group must make more cuts if they're going to improve their abysmal credit ratings, WWD reports, and they'll probably shut down their collaborative line with Miley Cyrus, which has reportedly languished on Wal-Mart shelves since its August 2009 launch.

Max Azria closed his mass-market line Max Rave in January and recently underwent a $230 million refinancing, but the group is still considered a "high credit risk."

Miley's got eternal youth in Wellington

Miley Cyrus has been snapped cruising Wellington's streets in 2040 – and she doesn't look a day older.

Wellington City Council has confirmed it yanked a photo of the pop sensation off the internet – and plonked her into an artist's impressions of how the city will look in the future.

The image, with Cyrus superimposed on to it, was then supplied to The Dominion Post and appeared on yesterday's front page.

It shows Cyrus – who would be 47 in 2040 – jogging along a tree-lined boulevard between Cambridge and Kent terraces.

She appears to have skipped by unnoticed, in her dark sunglasses, as Wellingtonians cycle past and lounge among the foliage, blissfully unaware of the celebrity nearby.

The picture was one of a dozen featured in yesterday's paper, from the Wellington 2040 City Strategy, which gives the council's vision for the "coolest little capital in the world" in 30 years.

Cyrus can also be seen running along a revamped Majoribanks St, looking every bit as young as her present-day 18 years.

Council spokesman Grahame Armstrong said the staffer who created the image knew it was a picture of Cyrus when she took it off the internet.

"But like The Dominion Post, not too many of us noticed it was Miley Cyrus until the next day. As far as we know, the council officer who chose the picture is not a proponent of the Wellywood sign."

Miley Cyrus Is Tyler Posey's First Kiss

Before Nick Jonas and Liam Hemsworth dated Miley Cyrus, Tyler Posey had once won her heart. The 19-year-old actor, who lands a lead role on MTV's remake TV series "Teen Wolf", recently revealed that the former "Hannah Montana" cutie was his first girlfriend and his first kiss.

"I worked on a TV show called 'Doc', starring Billy Ray Cyrus, when I was nine-years-old," the former "Brothers & Sisters" star shared about how he became acquainted with Miley. "His daughter, Miley Cyrus, was my first kiss and girlfriend. We dated for two years and broke up when we were 11."

Stop Alienating Your Fans In Bondagewear!

Miley, there are only so many young women in the world and while you may not want to be growing hordes of new pre-teen fans, why do you want to drive away all the young women that looked up to you as Hannah Montana.

Once you quit filming the show, it seems like you made every effort to turn off every parent and girl who looked up to you as a terrific role model.

You sexed up in a barely there corset and over-the-knee black boots in your “Can’t Be Tamed“ video and simulated making out with men and women in your video and on stage. It was practically X-rated for your former audience.

Then there was the salvia-smoking video, the nipple slips and the tattoos. Now you’re on you’re in on tour in the Far East and Australia in leather shorts and garters with a bare stomach and leather bra.

Come on Miley — you’re 18! You don’t need to grow up so fast and you don’t need to lose your young fans so fast!

Take a lesson from Selena Gomez. She’s 18, a tween and teen star too and she’s got a top hit song, “Who Says,” is about to open in the film, Monte Carlo, and she’s never been MORE popular. And she’s done it all without writhing around, pushing up her breasts, simulating sex or dissing her audience.

Miley — you’ve said you don’t want to be a role model and you’ve certainly made that perfectly clear with your actions. But I’m telling you it’s ridiculous to walk away from an audience that you’ve already created.

Selena Gomez cares so much about her fans that she shared the details of her “mystery” illness with them and let them know she was OK. She’s said that she accepts and likes being a role model, even to her youngest fans. Her song “Who Says“, which has sold 844,000 copies in the U.S. alone so far, is all about NOT losing your self-esteem!

And you know what, they’re paying her back with their support. I predict that long after Wizards of Waverly is over — Selena Gomez will be a big star without bondagewear.

Weird Al Parodies Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus And B.o.B On Upcoming Album

Lady Gaga isn’t the only modern day pop star getting skewered by musical mastermind Weird Al Yankovic. Speaking to Reuters, Yankovic spoke on the drama surrounding his Gaga parody “Perform This Way”, but also revealed several of the other parodies on his upcoming album, Alpocalypse (out June 21). Taylor, Miley and B.o.B — consider this the definitive proof that you have officially arrived.

Yankovic, who calls Gaga “a huge talent, a great songwriter and a wonderful performer,” says that he has no ill feelings toward Gaga over the controversy that ensued when her camp initially didn’t give their consent to his parody.
“This is unfortunately not an isolated incident over the course of my career,” he said. “I find it’s better, whenever possible, to go directly to an artist and deal with them personally, but as it turns out I didn’t happen to have Lady Gaga’s home phone number or e-mail address.”
When Gaga finally heard the track, she immediately gave her consent, and even allowed Yankovic the rights to use her song “Poker Face” in a medley called “Polka Face”.

“I had the 11 other tracks in the can for close to a year,” Yankovic said of the rest of the album. “And I was waiting for the right lead-off single. I’ve come to learn over the course of my career that my albums are more successful if they are released concurrently with a single that’s very topical and maybe celebrates a pop culture event of serious magnitude. I thought that Lady Gaga, and specifically her new album and single, was a sufficiently large event. I thought Gaga had sufficiently rocked the zeitgeist enough for me to make that choice.”

Some of the other 11 tracks include parodies of other hit singles released by pop’s biggest names:

The album also includes parodies of Taylor Swift’s “You Belong With Me” (”TMZ”), Miley Cyrus’ “Party in the U.S.A.” (”Party in the CIA,” also timely in the wake of the Osama Bin Laden assassination), B.o.B’s “Nothin’ On You” (”Another Tattoo”) and T.I.’s “Whatever You Like,” with the same title. Yankovic also recorded stylistic homages to the White Stripes (”CNR”), Queen (”Ringtone”) and the Doors (”Craigslist,” with the group’s Ray Manzarek guesting on keyboards).

He’s not kidding when he says his other tracks were recorded a year ago – Taylor Swift’s “You Belong To Me” and Miley’s “Party In The U.S.A.” aren’t exactly the most recent tracks we’ve heard from those two. Regardless, he had us at “Polka Face”. We couldn’t be more psyched for this album.

Miley Cyrus sizzles as lingere-clad street fighter

Miley Cyrus looked super hot as she wore some sexy lingerie in the photographs taken for her upcoming movie So Undercover.

Apart from looking sexy in the movie, Cyrus also had to learn to fight and use guns.

“I've been doing fighting, like learning how to box...mostly like street fighting, so knowing how to, like, if someone comes up from behind you, being able to defend yourself,” Gossipcenter quoted Cyrus as telling the press.

“I have a trainer and I have bruises everywhere from, like, kicking the bags... And I've learned how to use guns, which was really scary,” she added.

We shouldn’t really be surprised that Disney star Miley Cyrus likes to “advertise” her lady parts. But at least this time, it’s all in the good name of work! Miley appears in her undies for this new promo shot for her new movie, So Undercover.

Miley has been guilty of showing off a little too much, first starting with her half naked Vanity Fair cover. Not to mention that photo of herself laying all over her father. Miley Cyrus slams Urban Outfitters

Miley Cyrus may not be the first person we turn to for advice when it comes to weighty issues like current events and gay rights, but the singer has spent the past few days posting Tweets that are decidedly less OMG-y than usual.

Cyrus took aim at Urban Outfitters following reports that the company stole a necklace design from a jewelry artist in Chicago (which the Philadelphia-based fashion-and-accessories chain "unequivocally" denies), as well as Urban Outfitters president Richard Hayne’s contributions to right-wing Republican Sen. Rick Santorum and his Political Action Committee.

Cyrus Tweeted, "Love that everybody is hating on Urban Outfitters." She added, "Not only do they steal from artists but every time you give them money you help finance a campaign against gay equality. #SHADYASHELL"

Hashtags aside, Cyrus also pointed out, "IF WE ALLOW GAY MARRIAGE NEXT THING U KNOW PEOPLE WILL BE MARRYING GOLD FISH" - Rick Santorum UO contributed $13,000 to this mans campaign"

Not so long ago, she was one of Disney's most beloved teenage stars, appearing on hit tween show Hannah Montana and playing sold-out concerts to thousands of young fans.

But Miley Cyrus is clearly growing up fast, judging by these photographs from her latest movie.

The 18-year-old star strips down to a pair of short orange and red night shorts and a lacy red bra in one scene from So Undercover.

The comedy film, released this October, features Miley as an investigator hired to pose as a sorority girl to protect a mobster's daughter.

'She's basically this chick who grows up as a super tomboy,' the actress and singer told MTV during filming last year.

Miley Cyrus fan Gypsy Heart Tour (@gypsyhearttour) posted a "random photo" of Miley backstage with mother Tish at one of Miley's concerts on her Twitter account Thursday exclaiming how sexy the mother-daughter pair looks together. They almost look like they could be sisters!

"@MileyCyrus & @TishCyrus1 more sexies than ever!" she Tweeted.

The former Hannah Montana recently added a sixth tattoo to her collection of body art, and it's pretty obvious that mom Tish is one of her big influences - sporting plenty of ink herself (see pics of her giant angel wings).

Miley's set to sing on the new album from her brother Trace (who's also very tatted himself) and his new band Ashland High. His last band, Metro Station, broke up last year. Ashland High's debut disc is expected later this year.

Singer-guitarist Trace formed new group Ashland High earlier this year after his band Metro Station broke up.

The 22-year-old is working on Ashland High's debut album and is set to surprise fans with a special duet - a collaboration with his sister.

Trace wrote on his Twitter page: 'To all of u asking. Yes me and Miley r planning on doing a song for my new Ashland High album! The song is crazy! Miley will kill the chorus.'

Miley, 18, added: '@TraceCyrus Can't wait to get in the studio with you.

Miley Cyrus is planning to collaborate with her brother Trace on his brand new album!

Trace is back with a new band, Ashland High, after his group Metro Station broke up.

And he is planning to include a pretty awesome duet on the band's debut album, but teaming up with Miley in the studio!

In a post on Twitter Trace told his followers, "To all of u (sic) asking. Yes me and Miley r (are) planning on doing a song for my new Ashland High album! The song is crazy! Miley will kill the chorus."

After word that the chain stole a jewelry design from a lesser-known artist, Cyrus took to Twitter to let the skinny jean paradise hear her roar (via Celebuzz).

"Love that everybody is hating on Urban Outfitters," Cyrus tweeted. "Not only do they steal from artists but every time you give them money, you help finance a campaign against gay equality," she continued to tweet with the hashtag 'SHADYASHELL.'

In her Twitter rant, Cyrus sites the recent claim that Urban Outfitters jacked the design behind necklaces shaped like varying states from independent artist, Stevie Koerner, who sells her designs on Etsy.com.

"I'm very disappointed in Urban Outfitters," Koerner wrote on her blog. "I know they have stolen designs from plenty of other artists. I understand that they are a business, but it's not cool to completely rip off an independent designer's work."

But Urban Outfitters' not so flattering penchant for copying isn't the only reason they've got Cyrus up in arms. The company's CEO, Richard Hayne, has donated thousands of dollars to Pennsylvania Senator, Rick Santorum's campaign funds -- the same politician who has openly spoken against gay equality.

"'IF WE ALLOW GAY MARRIAGE NEXT THING U KNOW PEOPLE WILL BE MARRYING GOLD FISH' - Rick Santorum UO contributed $13,000 to this mans campaign," Cyrus continued to tweet.

Could Cyrus actually have an impact on the brand's revenue? Urban Outfitters' PR team better get a move on it before they find out.

Miley Cyrus Knocks Out Rick Santorum

You expect celebrities to weigh in on politics and current events, but Miley Cyrus ...?

The teen pop sensation took to Twitter to ding Rick Santorum in a roundabout way Thursday.

Cyrus isn't a fan of Urban Outfitters after stories emerged alleging that the store has copied jewelry designs, so she pointed out that the company's president had contributed to Santorum.

“IF WE ALLOW GAY MARRIAGE NEXT THING U KNOW PEOPLE WILL BE MARRYING GOLD FISH’ — Rick Santorum UO contributed $13,000 to this mans campaign” tweeted Cyrus, mocking Santorum for some earlier remarks regarding gay marriage.

She also wrote about Urban Outfitters and Santorum: “Not only do they steal from artists but every time you give them money you help finance a campaign against gay equality.”

It may not be the best news for Santorum, who is expected to launch his campaign next week, because Cyrus has more than a million Twitter followers. Fortunately for him, however, most are probably too young to vote.

This particular remark was retweeted by hundreds, if not thousands, of people. And, as PoliticsPA points out, "This is the second time in recent weeks that Santorum has popped up in an unlikely quarter of pop culture. Actress Keira Knightley talked about 'googling' Santorum during a May 9 appearance on 'The Daily Show.'"

MileyCyrus Calls Out Rick Santorum

Even Miley Cyrus is getting in on the 2012 action. In a reaction to a recent controversy over retailer Urban Outfitters allegedly copying jewelry designs, Cryus last night aired her criticism of UO President Richard Hayne’s campaign contributions to former Senator Rick Santorum.

“IF WE ALLOW GAY MARRIAGE NEXT THING U KNOW PEOPLE WILL BE MARRYING GOLD FISH’ – Rick Santorum UO contributed $13,000 to this mans campaign” the singer and Hannah Montana star tweeted, in an apparent reference to the former Senator’s famous “man on dog” remark. Santorum is known for his conservative and often controversial opinions on same-sex marriage.

Cyrus has over a million followers on the social networking site, and this particular remark was re-tweeted by hundreds if not thousands of people.

“Love that everybody is hating on Urban Outfitters,” Cyrus tweeted immediately beforehand, “Not only do they steal from artists but every time you give them money you help finance a campaign against gay equality.”

Hayne and his wife contributed $17,350 to Santorum and his Fight-PAC over the course of his career in the U.S. Senate, according to OpenSecrets.org.

The Haynes are active political donors, having given thousands of dollars over the years to the Republican Federal Committee of Pennsylvania, Sen. Arlen Specter, Rep. Pat Meehan and others. In 2009 they maxed out to the abortive Senate campaign of Joseph Torsella.

This is the second time in recent weeks that Santorum has popped up in an unlikely quarter of pop culture. Actress Keira Knightley talked about “googling” Santorum during a May 9th appearance on “The Daily Show.”

We would follow up with Santorum for comment, but online publications have a hard time being taken seriously as it is.

Jimmy Fallon Covers Miley Cyrus' 'Party in the U.S.A.'

Jimmy Fallon has once again channeled his inner alter ego Neil Young, which he premiered last fall, on a recent episode of his "Late Night" show. While the funnyman covered Willow Smith's "Whip My Hair" in the previous performance, he opted to revamp Miley Cyrus' "Party in the U.S.A." in this new one.

Wearing a long wig and sitting on a stool, Fallon strummed his guitar and twisted the upbeat pop song into a nostalgic and bittersweet tempo. He was joined by real-life Young collaborators Graham Nash and David Crosby, and the trio crooned "Nodding my head like yeah, moving my hips like yeah."

Before taking Nash and Crosby to do "Party in the U.S.A.", Fallon discussed today's hot topics. When delivering his monologue, he talked about Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is dealing with personal woes after having his affair with his household staffer exposed, and Oprah Winfrey who recently pulled the final curtain of her longtime talk show.

Miley Cyrus – Not So Undercover

Miley Cyrus has never been shy about showing some skin to shed the goody-two-shoes Disney image, so the latest info from E! Online shouldn’t be a shock to anyone.

As you can plainly see in the photo provided by The Weinstein Company, Miley isn’t taking the ‘undercover’ part to heart in her role as a private investigator in So Undercover. Of course, if you’ve been hired by the FBI to pose as a college student and sorority girl, you want to make sure you don’t raise any suspicions so blending in is top priority.

Does the red bra/orange booty shorts make her more believable in the role? Probably not, but at least it looks like the scenery will be nice, and I’m sure Jeremy Piven as a FBI agent will be able to provide a little sarcastic humor to keep things rolling along.

Since So Undercover was recently able to grab hold of a US distributor, things seem to be on track for the anticipated October 2011 release, and the skimpy clothing could be a pretty big draw since the theater is one of the few places to see a little skin during the winter months.
