A video of Miley Cyrus and boyfriend Liam Hemsworth in Costa Rica hit the web on Wednesday that shows Cyrus and Hemsworth stopping to sign autographs for fans. When the couple were about to leave and board their awaiting helicopter, an unknown female called Cyrus an “a**hole,” which prompted Miley to turn and ask in return, “What the f***? Are you for real?”

After the video was posted on YouTube, Miley Cyrus hit Twitter to defend her actions.
In a new tweet, Miley Cyrus explained why she said what she said. “Been trying not to tweet & just enjoy the holidays,” said Miley, “but just to clear something up I would NEVER swear to a fan. When someone yells something SO rude making ME look like an “a**hole” in front of fans who I am more than happy [to] take a picture [with], I can’t tolerate that kind of rudeness.”
Miley Cyrus also added that all of the fans on hand apologized for the woman, who was obviously not a fan.
From our perspective, Miley shouldn’t have to defend her actions anyway, but …
