Well, well, well, here we go kids -- it's a new dawn, a new day over at "American Idol" and for all the talk of changes, the first episode felt exactly like every other single one that's come before. Although it seems, save for the judges, all the format changes come into play with the semi-finals, so right now the only tweak we can critique is the judges table.A change I loved.

Thought Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler did a fantastic job of bringing their own flava to the panel without trying to make the show all about them. Although Steven could do with a little less singing.
