In September, it was said that Miley Cyrus was involved in her first fender bender with a car that was parked. She allegedly hit the car and left the scene. Then, photos surfaced of the singer talking to a police officer in her car. So, people put two and two together and said that she was pulled over for texting while driving. It’s funny how the internet works, isn’t it?

In an interview for M magazine, Miley set the record straight. She said, “I called the cops because the paparazzi started making me nervous while I was driving. So I pull over, the paparazzi get out and start taking pictures of me. The next day I read that I got ‘escorted home’ because I was on my cell phone. It was just ridiculous. Really, I called the cops to get away from the paparazzi!”

She added, “It’s important that I talk to my fans directly about what’s being said about me. When things are taken out of context, it ends up hurting my feelings, because I know the rumors are completely false!”

Miley Cyrus may sue over 'leaked' nude pic

Miley Cyrus is in talks with her lawyers and considering taking legal action against ZackTaylor.ca after the blogger released a nude picture last week claiming it was found on the 18-year-old star's stolen mobile phone.

Taylor has since admitted the picture was a hoax – dressed in an open plaid shirt and photographed from the neck down, the 'lookalike' was actually a young British woman.

Miley's rep has denied the picture was her from the outset, pointing out that the model is thinner than Miley and is missing her tell-tale tattoo (Miley has the words 'Just Breathe' tattooed under her left breast).

According to reports, it is stated that the 18-year-old singer, is undergoing a major mental break down due to the parents break up. A source says that,” Miley is trying to be strong going through her parent’s breakup and she loves them both. Everyone is reading into each of her every moves, like when she goes out with her mom and no one sees her dad. It’s pushing her buttons.”

Miley is acting out after her parents announced they were getting divorced. Sources claim that,” Miley’s spinning out of control. She carries a lot of guilt — most of Billy Ray and Tish’s arguments were over her career.”

As per earlier reports, it is said that the real cause for the divorce is Miley Cyrus and her career. Billy Ray feels that his daughter is turning into a spoiled brat and it is all Tish's fault. “The fight over Miley is what tore Tish and Billy Ray apart. They can’t agree on how to raise her, and it’s wrecked their marriage,” said an insider.

Former "Little House On The Prairie" star Melissa Gilbert has questioned Miley Cyrus' motives for allowing her pal to film her smoking a bong, insisting the teen superstar "wanted to get caught."The 18-year-old Hannah Montana star sparked outrage last week after film footage of her smoking a huge pipe, allegedly containing the legal high salvia, hit the web.

The video has led to Cyrus being slammed by anti-drugs groups, but Gilbert -- who has battled alcoholism and substance abuse issues in the past -- is adamant the star meant for fans to see the footage of her intoxicated.

She tells AOL News, "These days, everyone with a cell phone is a paparazzo. How high do you have to be to let a friend film you? I think she wanted to get caught."

And Gilbert has her own doubts about whether the substance in the bong was really salvia.

She adds, "That's bulls**t! I think it was marijuana."

Selena Gomez says give Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato a break

Selena Gomez believes that the public needs to cut the Disney Channel stars some slack."It's a very hard business and I feel like people don't really understand what we go through. We're kids. People make mistakes. People have to figure out what we like and don't like."

Miley Cyrus had taken quite a public beating since the bong video incident. And as if she didn't have enough trobules, her former BFF Nicole Mullen-Holm spoke out, claiming that Cyrus had been a bully in middle school.

Meanwhile, Demi Lovato is continuing her stay in rehab after she left the "Camp Rock 2" tour to seek treatment for emotional and physical issues. Lovato will be home for Christmas, but still has a ways to go in her treatment.

Selena Gomez does have a pont. We really don't know what kinds of pressures these Disney stars are under. On top of the normal stresses of being a teenager, every mistake and unflattering moment is out there for the world to scrutinize.

Although Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato no longer seem to be BFF, it's nice to see that they still care about each other.

Should teen stars be held to a higher standard of behavior because young people see them as role models? Or should the public cut them some slack?

Miley 'doesn't care about bong vid leak'

Miley Cyrus has reportedly brushed off recent controversy that resulted from an online leak of a video showing the 17-year-old smoking a bong. The clip, which was shot by a friend of the star, shows her inhaling an unknown substance which is believed to be the legal hallucinogen salvia.

According to TMZ, Cyrus said that she is not concerned with the tape's release as she is "just young and having fun".

A source told the site: "Miley doesn't care. She's filming her movie and getting on with her life."

Miley hits the town with Kelly

Miley Cyrus has been spotted hitting the club circuit with Kelly Osbourne.

The Hannah Montana star, who hit headlines recently after apparently smoking a legal hallucinogen from a bong, was seen with Kelly and three other friends at the Republic hotspot in New Orleans, reported People."It was a good, old-fashioned girls' night - they were just dancing and hanging out, Miley was drinking Red Bulls," a source told the magazine.

The insider added that Miley hit the dancefloor when a Lady Gaga tune came on.

"[Miley] went nuts dancing," the source continued.

"[The group] was really nice and great to the staff. They kept saying how they want to come back. They were really polite... and saying they had such a wonderful time."

Miley Cyrus Condemned for Smoking Bong

Miley Cyrus has come under fire from anti-drugs campaigners, who have criticized the teenage star after she was caught on camera allegedly smoking a hallucinogenic legal high. A video of the Hannah Montana singer/actress puffing on a bong emerged online on Friday, December 10, much to the dismay of her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, who insisted he was saddened by the footage.
The 18 year old, who is shown giggling and babbling incoherently in the film, is said to have been smoking controversial but legal psychoactive plant Salvia, and experts are already stepping forward to condemn Cyrus' actions.

Former California State Assemblyman, Anthony Adams, who attempted to have the substance banned in the state back in 2007, is adamant the young star is setting a bad example. He tells TMZ.com, "You do incredibly crazy things (under the influence of Salvia). Miley is a star and young kids are going to emulate her behavior. It's time for state and federal governments to renew their push toward an outright ban (of this substance)."

A spokesperson for America's Drug Enforcement Administration adds, "Salvia is a drug of concern. We are taking steps to look further into it..."

Miley Cyrus Offered Her Own R-Rated Web Channel

Miley Cyrus may get more than what she expects for when she decides to ditch her goody-goody image. The actress has been slammed for her raunchy actions on- and off- stage in the past, but Pornhub.com plans to further expose her for the sake of business. Radar Online has learned that the company is in the process of offering Miley her own channel on the site.
"Given that Miley has already contributed to the further mainstreaming of Pornography via her actions, Pornhub executives feel that a Miley Cyrus Channel at their site would be an excellent platform for her to balance her risque behavior with efforts to further transition into an adult," the company reasons as mentioned on a press release obtained by Radar. The R-rated channel would be used to "showcase how-to videos for pole dancing and lap dancing, as well as video blog entries" from the "Hannah Montana" star.

Miley Cyrus sparked controversy in 2007 when posing topless for Vanity Fair while she was just 15 years old. Later she was criticized for her provocative performance at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards when she did a brief pole dance. As of late, she once again made a headline after video of her smoking a huge pipe, believed to contain the legal high Salvia, hit the web.

Unfazed by Bong Video, Miley Cyrus Shows Up at Sunday Game

While her father took it hard, Miley Cyrus appears indifferent to the latest scandal that hit her. A video of the 18-year-old smoking from a bong hit the internet over the weekend and Billy Ray Cyrus said he's "sorry' and "sad", adding he doesn't have much control about that. Miley, however, was in a good spirit when she showed up on the set of her movie, "So Undercover", hours after the video was posted on TMZ. Sources said Miley was all professional in the rehearsals, running through script lines with co-star Kelly Osbourne. Filming is not scheduled to begin until later this week in Louisiana, but Miley "kept her focus on the movie."

On Sunday, December 12, Miley resurfaced at New Orleans Saints game against St. Louis Rams at Superdome. She got the chance to meet the Saints' coach Sean Payton while there.

Miley has not released any statement regarding the allegation that she smoked Salvia in the bong. Her father's statement remains the only official confirmation that the tape was indeed of the Disney star.

Single Review: Miley Cyrus - 'Who Owns My Heart?'

Well, if you're going to be a pedant... you own your own heart, Miley.

Risks are nothing new. They've been forcing people to put all their stakes on one radical decision with an unclear outcome for centuries. Sometimes you get good results, but other times, Lady Luck looks the other way and something bad could happen, regardless of how valiant your efforts are, like getting poo in your eye - that would be unfortunate. Not sure about the risk you'd be taking which would land you with possible eye-poo marriage, but... oh dear... this review has deteriorated somewhat, yes? Right, back on subject.Miley Cyrus took a risk with her new album. A risk that, had she not taken, fans and casual listeners alike would've brushed her aside yet again as a simple ten-year old girl's idol under the name of Hannah Montana. But instead, Miley took that risk, made the jump, etc., etc., and fell flat on her face. Not that she wanted to, and not that she had to either, because her two single offerings from 'Can't Be Tamed' so far illustrate that it is a very solid attempt at becoming more 'grown-up' singer. Unfortunately, their were quite a few similarities between the new image and lead single 'Can't Be Tamed' and a certain blonde bombshell currently drawing the blue-print for musical world domination, and the public made this connection and cast Miley off as a nothing more than a nasally-voiced copy-cat.

'Who Owns My Heart?' is the second single release from Miley third album, 'Can't Be Tamed', which alone says she's trying her hand at being grown-up, ditching the guitars and the soft country rock for heavily dance-influenced electropop with complimentary synths and auto-tune. 'Who Owns My Heart?' follows that trend, with scoops of sexy lyricism and a much darker, "filthy pop" sound. There's also many points during the song where Miley mentions that "art" may be the mysterious owner of her heart. This means GaGa's "little monsters" will most likely make the link between this song a GaGa "legacy of music and art" because she "said it first".

And yes, I am quoting the "monsters" themselves.

Ignoring comparisons to GaGa, 'Who Owns My Heart?' is a bona-fide dance floor anthem that'll probably sell very well in continental Europe rather than the UK. It's got references to masterpieces, the dance floor, you, Miley, a heart... the usual jazz.

Miley hits the bong, Herb huffs, and Haire of the Dog smokes dryer lint

There is absolutely no reason that salvia should be legal.

After all, marijuana is illegal.

Shrooms are illegal.

LSD is illegal.

Ecstasy is illegal.

And, if those drugs are banned, then salvia should be too.Now, I'm not a prude. Far from it. But I'm the kind of guy that believes in consistency. What's good for the goose is good for the gander, right?

And despite the best efforts of Miley Cyrus to bring attention to the dangers of smoking salvia — it makes you listen to Bush, a hackass Brit band that ripped off Nirvana — salvia remains legal. For now.

Of course, if you are a loyal City Paper reader, you already knew about salvia way before Miley got all smiley for TMZ.

'Hannah Montana' star Miley Cyrus and Zac Efron - the newest dating rumor

In what is yet another twist for two celebrities currently dominating the headlines, there are now some rumors circulating out there about Miley Cyrus being "flirty" with former Disney Channel star Zac Efron. According to blogger Zack Taylor (otherwise known as the man behind the fake "nude photos" of the "Hannah Montana" star), the two have shown some signs of potential sparks and were even spotted recently at the same football game.However, we have to ultimately dismiss this speculation as purely that for now. Why? We also ahve a source from Hollywood Life that Efron could very well end up getting back together with his recent ex Vanessa Hudgens:

“They have officially called it quits, but my source believes that there is a great chance they will get back together. They have hung out with each other as recently as two weeks ago and will continue to hang out, since they are best friends.”

Considering that Miley is busy in Louisiana working on a new film project, it seems hard to see her spending too much time diving back into the dating pool.

Expert: Miley Cyrus Let Us Down

Celebuzz asked Dr. Wendy Walsh, noted psychologist, to weigh in on the recent Miley controversy. Dr. Walsh has a private psychotherapy practice in Los Angeles.

Dr. Wendy Walsh: Most people with a TV or Internet connection have now seen the video made by a fiendish friend of giggling, hallucinating teen star Miley Cyrus, on a drug trip. Sure Miley’s bong contained a legal hallucinogen (probably because the FDA hasn’t gotten around to that one yet) and yes, Miley just turned 18, the legal age to make decisions for yourself, and yes, she’s finished her stint as Disney princess, Hannah Montana.But…but….BUT….

We should be worried for Miss Cyrus for a couple reasons. First, she is having her first chance to self-regulate, and isn’t doing such a good job. Child performers who become international stars are very much like victims of child slave labor. The economics are different but the psychology is very similar. Long, forced work days and little time to play and develop as a normal child. Instead they are slammed into an adult world and exposed to adult themes way beyond their emotional readiness. Child slave labor is most often reinforced through punishment and child performer labor is reinforced through rewards by parents, publicists and studios. This can be very confusing to a child. Adolescents feel safe with boundaries and parental power, but when a teen holds financial power, it can cause chaos inside.

Then at the age of 18, victims of child performer labor are suddenly emancipated. Miley turned 18 on November 23rd and just weeks later she’s on a drug trip seen around the world. Though it may be a legal herb, it is often a gateway drug. What Miley, and all child stars need, is a halfway house where they learn to self-regulate under supervision.

The second reason we should worry is how this behavior will impact our culture. Already sales of that herb (which will go unnamed here) are reported to have tripled! Miley is a role model and her behavior can have dangerous for our youth. Being a role model is a social responsibility. The gifts of celebrity include private jets, mansions, designer clothes and fan scrutiny. Being a role model comes with the territory of fame. We may not have voted for Miley as our political representative, but we voted with our dollars for a cultural representative. And, sadly, Miley has let parents everywhere down. Parenting cannot be undertaken alone. We depend on an important village to help shape the minds of our kids. That village includes extended family, churches, schools, and our media. Miley is an influencial teacher in our kids’ media. When she became famous, she co-signed a pledge to our youth.

Miley Cyrus Treats Mom to Post-Holiday Girls' Day Out

How do you top off a Thanksgiving dinner? If you're birthday girl Miley Cyrus, you treat your mom to a girls' day out.

After celebrating the holiday at their Toluca Lake, Calif., home, Cyrus, who turned 18 Nov. 23, and her mom Tish braved the holiday shoppers Friday to get their nails done and share a casual ladies' lunch.

At Cosmo Nails in Toluca Lake, "Miley and her mom enjoyed pedicures and seemed very happy to spend some alone time," an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "They kept chatting and were both in a great mood. Miley treated her mom and she was very sweet and also left a great tip."Later, during lunch at Panera Bread, "Tish and Miley kept hugging at the table. They were talking a lot and both seemed very happy," an observer says. "A few fans approached Miley and she was very nice to them."

Miley's dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, spent the holiday in Nashville after recently filing to divorce Tish.

Throw your hands up extra high and smile a little brighter if you see Miley Cyrus today, as the teenage music, film and television superstar is celebrating her birthday. Cyrus is only 18 years old, but she has crammed an awful lot of life, career and influence into those years.

After getting bit by the acting bug at a young age, Cyrus doggedly pursued the title role on the Disney Channel series "Hannah Montana." Though the producers were wary of her age and size, they were impressed by her raw talent and her tenacity, and they rewarded her with the role when she was only 12 years old. "Hannah Montana" premiered in 2006 and became in instant hit, skyrocketing Cyrus to instant teen idol status.

The show, which centered around a young music star who attempts to live a double life as a normal teenage girl, allowed Cyrus to not only show off her comedic skills and her acting chops but also her abilities as a performer of music. Cyrus has a natural charisma that came across easily and made her a hero to the millions of kids who made "Hannah Montana" into a hit. Her television career fed naturally into her role as a music star. Through three solo albums — 2007's Meet Miley Cyrus, 2008's Breakout and the recently-released Can't Be Tamed — she has evolved as a pop singer who is able to bring in elements of straight pop, country music, rock, electronic dance sounds and whatever else makes her feel good. Miley Cyrus Getting Her Good On For The Holiday Season

Miley Cyrus won't let anything get in the way of her holiday spirit this Christmas season.
The newly 18-year-old star took to the Interwebs to encourage her fans to give back to those in need. Miley says that for the past few years she's raided her closet in search of old items of clothing. She then donates her personal wardrobe to the Family Crisis Center in Los Angeles. Just think, some needy kids out there are wearing Miley's old clothes and they don't even know it!
"I want all of you to join me in getting your good on this season too," Miley wrote in a recent blog post. "You can search online and find a local shelter to donate items to or a food back to volunteer with."She directed fans to the Web site Get Your Good On.org to find creative ways to help out.

Miley Cyrus: Dance-off with her mother

Miley Cyrus celebrated her 18th birthday by having a dance-off with her mother.

The singer-and-actress decided to have an party following the American Music Awards (AMAs) where she and Tish Cyrus competed on the dancefloor. Speaking before the bash, Miley said: “I’m going out dancing later – we rented out a space so all my friends can come. Me and my mom actually have choreography for the night later – everyone loves it when we dance in unison.”

Miley says she and Tish – who is currently going through a divorce with Miley’s dad Billy Ray Cyrus – often practise their dance moves on a computer game at home.

She said: “There’s one move where you do like, the fist pump. You ‘Jersey Shore’ it for a second! We got a bunch of moves going on. Everyone goes wild when me and my mom have choreography, so it’s going to be good.“My mom, she beats me at that game! She had 600,000 points yesterday, I had 300,000. She is such a good dancer – she really gets it.”

Miley Cyrus' 'Hannah Montana Forever' -- final cover art revealed

Do you want to see what the final season of "Hannah Montana Forever" is going to look like when it hits stores on March 8 of next year? If so, Just Jared has a new image showcasing the rather simple cover.

When you look back at some of the past covers from seasons one to three, you will notice one noticeable difference this time around -- the more restrained cover art. "Hannah Montana" in many was known for being splashy and colorful, with bold hues of purple offsetting the blonde wig that Miley Cyrus famously wore as the title character.

This time, the image of Cyrus as Hannah is more mature and less garish -- the little being a bit ironic considering Miley's bold fashion choices away from the hit Disney Channel show.Although many people believed that the series was ending when the final episodes aired earlier in the fall, it is actually coming back to wrap up the series with a few more episodes next year.
